Frequently asked questions
- Do I need to replace my machines or PLCs?
- In most cases, no. Industrial equipment usually already speaks a standard protocol (Modbus, OPC-UA) or accepts a communication module. We survey the plant before proposing anything: if we can read what's already there, that's the cheapest and fastest route.
- Is this the same as an off-the-shelf SCADA?
- The function is similar, the model isn't. Traditional SCADA usually comes with per-tag licensing and rigid screens. What we build is designed for your plant and the metrics you track — and the system is yours, with no license fee for every machine you add.
- Does it work if the internet goes down?
- Data collection keeps running locally and syncs when the connection is back — no history is lost. Remote access does depend on the network, which is why the dashboard also works on the plant's internal network.
- How long until the first machine is on the dashboard?
- We start with one machine or one line, not the whole plant. That first phase usually takes weeks and validates the data, the network and what's actually worth tracking. The rest follows, built on what the first phase taught us.
- Have you done this on a real project?
- Yes. We delivered a monitoring and remote control system for industrial machines — wire drawing, straightening, and welded mesh and lattice girder machines — reading data over Modbus, OPC-UA and MQTT, with configurable alerts and production history. Under our agreement with the client, we don't disclose internal data.
- How does a remote team work with a physical plant?
- Development is remote. Connecting to the machines needs someone on site to plug the data collection device into the plant network — usually your maintenance team, with us guiding them over video. When a project justifies it, we arrange a site visit.
