What Volvi Software collects, why, how long we keep it and how to ask for it to be deleted.

Last updated: September 12, 2026

This policy explains in plain language how Volvi Software handles the data of people who visit the English version of volvisoftware.com.br. It follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR — Regulation (EU) 2016/679), the UK GDPR and, because the company is based in Brazil, Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).

Who is responsible

Volvi Software, a software development company based in Maceió, Brazil, is the controller of the data described here. For any request about this policy, write to contato@volvisoftware.com.br.

What we collect

1. When you fill in the contact form

  • Name and email — required, so we can reply.
  • Phone and company — optional.
  • Message — whatever you write.
  • Visit source — the channel you came from (for example, a Google search). It tells us what works and doesn't identify you.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without this data we can't reply to you.

2. When you browse the site

We use Matomo, an analytics tool that runs on our own server. Your browsing data is not sent to Google or any other company.

  • Pages visited, time on page and traffic source
  • Device type, browser, operating system and screen resolution
  • Approximate country and city, from your IP address, which is anonymized before it is stored
  • Clicks on contact buttons

Legal basis: analytics cookies are only set with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given in the notice shown on your first visit. If you decline, your visit is still counted in aggregate, without cookies and without anything that could recognize you on a later visit, based on our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.

Cookies

  • Necessary — they store your answer to the cookie notice. The site doesn't work properly without them, so they don't require consent.
  • Analytics (Matomo) — they tell us whether you're a new or returning visitor. They are only set if you accept.

You can change your mind at any time: clear this site's cookies in your browser and the notice will return.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. It is only shared where needed to answer you and run the site:

  • Partner company — enquiries sent through the English version of the site may be forwarded to a partner software company that handles our English-language projects. The partner receives only what you sent in the form and may use it solely to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project.
  • Hosting — the server where the site and database run.
  • Email service — to notify our team, and the partner, that you got in touch.

Browsing statistics are not sent to Google Analytics, social networks or advertising platforms.

Transfers outside the European Union

Our team is based in Brazil, and the partner company may be located in another country, so your data may be processed and stored outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. When you submit the form, your data is transferred so we can respond to the request you made (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR), with the security measures described below.

How long we keep it

  • Contact form enquiries: for as long as the business relationship lasts and up to 5 years afterwards.
  • Browsing statistics: up to 24 months.

After that, the data is deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

  • Ask for access to the data we hold about you
  • Correct incomplete or outdated data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Restrict or object to how we process it
  • Ask for your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics

Just write to contato@volvisoftware.com.br or use the contact page. We reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live or work — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Security

The whole site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Database access is restricted to the team responsible for operations, each with their own credentials.

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, we update this page and the date at the top. Any significant change to how we handle your data will be clearly announced on the site.
